How does this work?
Start by purchasing the services you want and then we will send you packing/shipping instructions to send your working Dreamcast Console to us here at Pink Skeleton Gaming. Normally, our turn around time is 1-2 weeks after receiving your console, as we are currently experiencing a high volume of installations!
- After receiving your console, we will start by thoroughly cleaning and testing your console.
- Next, we will perform all installations/services you requested.
- Followed by extensive testing of all services installed.
- Finally, we will carefully pack and ship your console back to you via USPS Insured Priority Mail Shipping.
Services Available:
Full Console Recap (+$50)
The capacitors in these consoles are often prone to failing after all of these years, and it is highly recommended to replace them at this point. With this option we will replace all SMD Capacitors and Electrolytic Capacitors in your Console and Internal Power Supply with brand new High-Quality ones from Console5! This will keep your console running great into the future!
Battery Mod (+$20)
The original Dreamcast battery is soldered in and will eventually die, resulting in the Time and Date having to be set every time you power up the console. Choose this option and we will replace the Dreamcast internal battery with a new coin cell battery holder and rechargeable battery. This will make your battery last much longer and make it easy to replace when it does run out of charge in the distant future!
LED Swap (+$10)
This option adds some customization to your console that makes it stand out from the others! You can swap out the original Orange LED with one of any color! Just let us know which color you’d like after completing your purchase! The color choices are : Red, Green, Blue, Which, Yellow , RGB or Purple/UV!
Noctua Fan Mod (+$40)
This mod will only work on a VA1/VA2 board!
This option will replace the original fan with a brand new Noctua brand 5v fan that is much quieter and has better cooling capacity! This is possible thanks to Greg Collins “Collingall” at Laser Bear Industries, by using 3D printed parts that he designed to hold the new Noctua Fan. This is a great upgrade for all VA1/VA2 Dreamcast owners and a MUST HAVE for GDEMU users.
Region Free BIOS (+$40)
With this mod, you will be able to have a Dreamcast that can play games from ANY Region! Choose this option and we will completely remove the original BIOS chip in your console and replace it with a new Custom BIOS. You have the option to keep the original 2D boot up screen or use the 3D boot up screen that was used in Dreamcast Development!
Controller Port Fuse Replacement (+$10)
Often times the controllers on a Dreamcast will stop responding. This is caused by a blown fuse on the controller port circuit board. With this option, we will replace the old fuse with a resettable fuse! This means that if the fuse does blow, you can simply reset the Dreamcast which will reset the fuse!
GDEMU or USB-GDROM Install (+$40)
Choose this option if you have purchased a GDEMU or USB-GDROM that you would like installed in your Dreamcast! 3D Printed SD Mount provided by us and available in many different colors/color combinations!
